Professor Frank Schimmelfennig elected to the board of the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA)

TEPSA is a network of 36 research institutes and think tanks from 33 European countries working on the EU. CIS is the Swiss member of TEPSA. Read more

Professor Frank Schimmelfennig awarded Robert Schuman Fellowship

The Robert Schuman Centre of Advanced Studies at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, awarded Frank Schimmelfennig a Schuman fellowship for the years 2017-2019. In a series of short-term stays at the Centre, Frank Schimmelfennig will conduct research on European governance. Read more

The European Politics research group at the Center for Comparative and International Studies at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking a PhD student for its project on “Constructing Europe’s Borders: Membership Discourses and European Integration” (funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation). Thomas Winzen receives 2016 Young Scholars Award of the Swiss Political Science Association

An international jury awarded the prize in recognition of the best single-authored article by a young Switzerland-based researcher. Thomas received the award for his article: "From capacity to sovereignty: Legislative politics and differentiated integration in the European Union."
